I not only made the item photographed here, but I designed it too. I converted an image of the Tin Man, taken from the Soviet version in 1939, and converted that into filet crochet. This is not your grandma's doily! This is art. I love the Wizard of Oz and I am excited to share it with you. The Tin Man is my favorite character.
NOTE: Filet crochet is an optical illusion, using a series of open and closed squares. Please keep that in mind. These pictures do not do it justice because the camera distorts the optical illusion. In person, the optical illusion works much better.

Please note that making the actual object is very time-consuming and takes skill mastery. Doilies take 10-60 hours to make. Prints make the handmade art accessible and affordable.
